The TABAKOFF ISBRA Award

ISBRA will support a new award for excellence in research, including all aspects of biomedical research on alcoholism (basic and preclinical, translational and clinical work, genetics, and epidemiology). This award will be presented at each ISBRA meeting, beginning with the 2018 meeting in Kyoto.

All members in good standing of ISBRA are invited to nominate individuals for this award. The nomination should consist of a letter (not to exceed 2 pages) outlining the rationale for the nomination. This letter can be signed by nominator alone or by several supporters of the nomination (must be ISBRA members). In addition, 3 letters of support from other ISBRA members should accompany the nomination. Online nomination instructions are below, and the deadline for all nominations for the first award is May 1, 2018.

The award will consist of a plaque and a monetary award, and ISBRA will provide travel and lodging funds for the awardee to attend the conference. The awardee is also invited to present a plenary lecture at the upcoming ISBRA conference.
